Real Madrid are committed to moving a number of first team players on this summer, as they seek to freshen up the squad ahead of Jose Mourinho’s first season back at the helm. The arrival of Konate has pushed Asencio down the Real Madrid pecking order, and with another centre-back possibly coming in this summer, he would be limited to very few chances in the first team. Thus, the club has decided that he can leave during the transfer window, which opens for business on Wednesday (1st July).
Such is Real Madrid’s insistence for Asencio to leave, it has been reported by Miguel Serrano that they are prepared to accept a loan exit – but on the condition that any agreement includes a mandatory option to buy at the end of the 2026-27 season.

Clubs are likely to be more open to signing the 23-year-old on an initial loan, although there is still no guarantee that this generates the attention that the Bernabeu bosses are after.
Given that Real Madrid are so keen to part ways with Asencio, it would be a surprise if he didn’t end up leaving. He’s more than capable of being a regular starter for several La Liga clubs, although any possible move will depend on the asking price set by Los Blancos officials – presently, it is unclear what that is, although more details are sure to emerge as the summer goes on, especially with the transfer window opening in less than 48 hours.
